Technology Challenge with Miss Salton.
We Are The Champions! |
We aren't eating marsh-mellows.... honest! |
It's The Straight Tower of Pisa. No, it's The Leaning Tower of Pasta, oh, actually it's The Messy Tower of Pasta! |
This looks very interesting. |
On Thursday, when the year sevens are at Technology, the year sixes do Technology Challenges. They are always fun. This week Miss Salton gave us a challenge. The challenge was that we had to make a tower using only spaghetti, marshmallows and toothpicks. We had 45 minutes to complete this task. We were split into three groups of four and one group of three. We learnt a lot of things like how to use the marshmallows as glue and that the spaghetti was taller but would break more easily. Also, a lot of peoples’ towers broke because they weren’t strong enough so we had to make them strong. The strongest tower was Haley, Paige, Janae and Sophie’s at the start but then it went a bit wrong!! What we also learnt was how to use marshmallows to connect everything together. We also learnt what was stronger as a base and what wasn’t. There were some challenges, but in the end everything went fine. The winning group was Millie, Carter, Jack K and Ally. The challenge was fun and we all had a great time. It was hard to resist the temptation to eat the marshmallows and few of us ate them. At the end Miss Salton let us all eat the remaining marshmallows. Even though it was frustrating and confusing sometimes but in the end everyone had lots of fun!!!!
